Bios are interesting to write. I’d rather draft this how I would speak to you directly. My name is Dimitri Soteropoulos and I have been a DJ in the Boston area for about 15 years. I have a passion and love for music, which was why I started this journey. In the beginning, I was all about the night life scene in the city. My goal at a young age was to play and have residencies in as many of the Boston night clubs as possible. Now you may be thinking, what does that have to do with my wedding?
Fast-forward to today. I primarily do wedding entertainment. Everything I learned playing for big crowds, working on my music programing skills and beat matching techniques translates directly into your wedding day. The music selection might vary slightly but at each and every wedding I will mix continuously and curate a selection of music to cater to your crowd in that moment.
There is a lot more to weddings than “just come and play some music”. The DJ is the center of your vendors to which we have the responsibility to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible. I take lot of pride in the organization and preparation for each event. Having my B.S/M.S in Mechanical Engineering has hardwired me to treat my events as if I was designing or analyzing something that went on an aircraft for example. We do not have room for error. This organization really transpires into flawless events since we have a plan and backup plan going into your wedding day.
I want to close up with this. Do your research, your entertainment is such an important piece to your wedding day you need to feel confident that they will live up to your expectations. I encourage you to source and interview multiple DJs and Entertainers. You want to be able to compare styles, personalities and ultimately feel like you have chosen the right person for your needs.
